Art Business Bootcamp 1: Getting You Found

This is pretty much the exact advice I give to people.

Also: to find different art directors and publishers and studios if you don’t already have some in mind, look at the client lists of artists who are working in the field you want to work in. 🙂

Extra tip: if you speak any languages besides English, your pool of possible commissioners just got bigger. Research the market in countries other than US if you’re able to (you can probably contact these people in English anyway, but researching their contact details might prove difficult).

(I don’t usually post this stuff on this blog, but this seemed like a good time to make an exception)

To Steven Universe fans that want to start collecting rocks!

astrotoast:

Rocks are rad as hell and im happy to see everyone get so interested in them with this show. Ive never seen so many rocks on my dash!
However there are some important things you need to know about these rocks if you want to start collecting them!!!

Amethyst, Rose quartz, any type of translucent crystal (as a rule of thumb, not necessarily all but ALOT) WILL FADE IN SUNLIGHT.

Lapis Lazuli will be DAMAGED AND DISSOLVE IN WATER.

Malachite is TOXIC if its not tumbled/polished (abd even then you should wash your hands after handling) and CAN RELEASE TOXIC FUMES IF PUT IN THE WATER.

happy rock hounding!!!

Turn your handwriting into a font

I discovered this by accident and I thought it was really funny and cute:

1. Download the template from MyScriptFont website

image

2. Write out the alphabet and numbers in your style, using a black marker (felt pen). This is mine:

3. Scan the template
4. Upload to the MyScriptFont website, name it, set the format and click “send file”
5. Download it to your computer and install

And check out my result!

Name a fandom you know I know and I’ll tell you

The first character I first fell in love with
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
The character everyone else loves that I don’t
The character I love that everyone else hates
The character I used to love but don’t any longer
The character I would totally smooch
The character I’d want to be like
The character I’d slap
A pairing that I love
A pairing that I despise
